Game rules
General
In the Topscorers app, users compete against each other in a league by putting together the most competitive ice hockey team possible from the current national league professionals, with a set budget. Each ice hockey player only appears once in each league. Before a match day, each user puts together their team from the players available to them. The total number of points earned by each player in real time determines the total number of points scored by his team on each match day. Users compete to win the regular season (qualifying winner) and the playoffs (champion).
Create a league
Create your own league and invite your friends to play against them during the season. 1-14 users can play in a league.
Multiple leagues
In the free version, you can play in a maximum of two leagues at the same time. With the Topscorers Member subscription (upgrade), you can put together your teams in six leagues at the same time.
League game mode
At the start of your Topscorers season, you will be assigned a team of 16 players worth CHF 3 million. The line-up is automatically generated from these 16 players and can be individually adjusted. In addition, you receive a budget of CHF 1 million to make transfers. On the transfer market, you can buy new players or sell players from your squad. But be careful: you must not have a negative account balance before the start of the game, otherwise you will not receive any points for the entire match day.
Mode Qualification vs. Playoffs
In the Regular Season, three blocks (15 field players + 1 goalkeeper) are always used. Every match day on which a game takes place counts, regardless of whether only one game takes place or a complete round is played. During the playoffs (including the play-in series), only one block can be fielded. At the same time, the transfer market will remain open until the quarterfinals and will not close until the quarterfinals begin at 8:00 p.m. After that, no new players can be purchased, but players can still be sold until the final.
Please note: At the official start of the quarterfinals (start of the first quarterfinal at 8:00 p.m.), your account balance must not be in the red, otherwise you will NOT receive any POINTS until you are back in the black. However, you can still sell players on the transfer market or use the startup bonus to get back into the black and start earning points again.
In the playoffs (including play-in series), you can only put one line on the ice (6 players including the goalie). From the playoffs onwards, the minimum squad size is 6 players. The import rule remains unchanged (6 imports allowed). The play-in series already count towards the playoff table.
Playoff start & account balance
The playoffs start with the play-in series. Please note that the transfer market is still open during the play-in series and only closes with the quarterfinals. You can continue to sell players on the transfer market until the final. At the official start of the quarterfinals, your current account balance must not be in the red, otherwise you will NOT receive any POINTS until you are back in the black. In the playoffs (including play-in series), you can only put one line on the ice (6 players including the goalie). Starting in the playoffs, the minimum squad size is 6 players. The import rule remains unchanged (6 imports allowed). The play-in series already count towards the playoff table.
Playouts and league qualification
For the playouts and the league qualification, there are no points and the games are not taken into account.
League table & playoff table
There is a qualifier and a playoff winner (champion). The league ranking starts from zero again in the play-in series. This means that from the play-in series onwards, all managers start the race again with zero points. The play-in series count towards the playoff table.
The winner's bonus
The winner of the qualifier The winner of the qualifier receives CHF 500,000 in transfer money credited to his account. The second-place finisher will now also receive CHF 300,000 and the third-place finisher CHF 200,000 in transfer money.
Point distribution
Before a match day, each user sets up a team from his squad to collect points for him. If the players you have lined up also play in real life, all relevant game actions – from assists to blocked shots to goalie saves – are analyzed and converted into points. For each point your lined-up players receive on a match day, you get CHF 50 credited to your account. The final point distribution always takes place at the end of a match day (approx. 5 hours after the end of the match). Any later corrections will not be taken into account.
Live Points
The principle of Topscorers is based on real events in the National League. On each National League match day, you get points for the game actions of your lined up hockey players. These are based on the statistically recorded (live) performance data of the National League.

Team line-up
Your squad can have a maximum of 26 players. You must also select 1 goalie, 6 defensemen and 9 forwards. You can only use 6 import players on any given game day. You should always have 16 players in your line-up, because you will be deducted 50 points for each unfilled position.
Kick-off time
The official kick-off time of a game applies. You cannot adjust your lineup after the game has started. Each match day counts and is important for your overall ranking.
Account balance
At the official start of a match day (start of the first game), your current account balance must not be in the red, otherwise you will not receive any points for that match day. Also, your lineup must be complete when the game starts. For each position that is unoccupied at the start of the match day, 50 points will be deducted. Your account balance may not be more than 33% of your team value in the red between match days.
Transfer market
On the transfer market, you can buy new players or sell players from your squad. There will always be 14 National League players available on the transfer market with the current market value (may vary), who are not yet on a team of your competitors. The players on the transfer market vary daily.
If multiple users bid on the same player, the user with the highest bid receives the player. Bids that are below the player's current market value will be rejected by the transfer market. Bids are submitted anonymously. You cannot see whether and how much other users are bidding for a player. If two users bid the same amount for a player, the bid that was submitted first counts.
Each auction of a player has a fixed expiration time. You can find this under the player picture. When the time runs out, the player moves to the highest bidder within the league. If no user bids on the player, he remains on the transfer market.
If you put one of your players on the transfer market, you will automatically receive an offer from the transfer market. Of course, your competitors can also make you an offer. You choose which offer you want to accept. In addition to the players offered by the transfer market, you will also see players on the transfer market who have been put on the transfer market by your competitors. Your players that you put on the transfer market and don't get an offer will also expire and be automatically removed from the transfer market.
The transfer market will remain open during the play-in series. The transfer market will close for new purchases with the first quarter-final game at 8:00 p.m. After that, no new players can be purchased. However, players can still be sold on the transfer market until the final!
Who will win?
At the end of the qualification and at the end of the playoffs, the user with the most points wins. The winner of the qualification receives a transfer bonus of CHF 500,000, the runner-up CHF 300,000 and the third-place finisher CHF 200,000. The winner of the playoffs is awarded the championship trophy.
Challenge game mode
Challenge mode offers you the opportunity to prove your hockey management skills against the entire community. Every ice hockey player is available in every user team, and all users compete against each other in a joint challenge. You can compete against others in a Switzerland-wide ranking and try to take the top position. For each round, you line up your best team, selecting a block + goalkeeper with your best players and a budget of CHF 2 million. At the end of each round, there is a winner. You can change your line-up daily to react to new market value developments, but make sure not to exceed your budget of CHF 2 million, otherwise you will not get any points. You cannot adjust your line-up after the official start of the game, and your account balance must not be negative at the start of the match day, otherwise you will not receive any points. Prove your skills and secure victory in the weekly challenges!
Live data
All statistics and results of the Topscorers app are based on data from the National League with all official National League players and teams of the current season. 42 statistical values from the National League, collected live during the games, are used to calculate the points. The data is provided by National League AG.
